PROMISED BLESSINGS

VICTORY

1 CORINTHIANS 10:13

No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it.

- God promises that we can, in the power of the Holy Spirit, respond to any given temptation by resisting it. Finally, Paul adds to this promise that God will always make a way of escape out of whatever temptation stands before us. If we look for a way to say no to whatever sin compels us, God promises we will find it

 1 JOHN 5:4-5

for everyone born of God overcomes the world. This is the victory that has overcome the world, even our faith. Who is it that overcomes the world? Only the one who believes that Jesus is the Son of God.

- Christians are not left weak and defenseless in spiritual battles. On the contrary, those battles are already won, by Christ. How do believers overcome the world? Verse 5 gives a more direct explanation: by believing in Jesus as the Son of God. Here in verse 4, John simply refers to "faith" as our victory.

ROMANS 8:1-2

Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, because through Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit who gives life

- In this context, “law” does not refer to a particular law, or rule, such as those found in the Mosaic Law. Rather, the term is here used in a broader sense of a principle that guides a person’s actions- a powerful influence that like a law inclines people to act in a certain way.. Read Roman 2: 12 and14. A law could be a guiding principle .

Romans 8: 1,2 is all about “ The joint heirs with Christ “ Read Romans 8: 14–17 God’s spirit coupled with their faith in Christ’s ransom sacrifice, enables them to come off victorious in the struggle that Paul described and thus “ have no condemnation.” They are set free from the law of sin and death.

Of course, all descendants of Adam feel within themselves the strong influence of “ sin’s law “ inclining them toward what is wrong. But they can choose to follow the law of God’s spirit to influence their actions in a positive direction. Read Romans 7: 23. John 8: 31,32. James 1: 25.

So to answer your question Romans 8: 1,2 concerns God’s heirs that are going to rule with Christ Jesus in heaven that have become free from the law of sin and death left by Adam.

D&C 103:36.

All victory and glory is brought to pass unto you through your diligence, faithfulness, and prayers of faith.

D&C 104:82

And inasmuch as ye are humble and faithful and call upon my name, behold, I will give you the victory.

FORGIVENESS

1JOHN 1:9

If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

- who believe that 1 John 1:9 is telling believers to confess their sin every time they sin need to realize that every sin needs to be recognized and confessed (otherwise, based on that verse, one is still unrighteous). You cannot pick and choose what to confess or confess only the sins you remember.

EPHESIANS 1:7

In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God’s grace

The riches of God's grace are inexhaustible, boundless, and all-sufficient. They meet all of our needs. We must receive these riches by faith, like the prodigal son returning to the father. We can enjoy them now and for eternity.

1 JOHN 2:1-2

1 My dear children, I write this to you so that you will not sin. But if anybody does sin, we have an advocate with the Father—Jesus Christ, the Righteous One.

2 He is the atoning sacrifice for our sins, and not only for ours but also for the sins of the whole world.

MOSIAH 26:30.

If you sincerely repent, you can always be forgiven.

MOSIAH 26:29

If he confess his sins before thee and me, and repenteth in the sincerity of his heart, him shall ye forgive, and I will forgive him also.

- IT shows us that our sin breaks our fellowship with God and that we all have need of someone who will stand before God and intercede for us to resolve the deadlock. He shows us that Jesus Christ is the one who intercedes before the Father as our advocate.

PEACE

JOHN 14:27

Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.

- IT is a promise of eternal peace to all believers in the midst of troubles.

ISIAH 26:3

You will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast, because they trust in you

-Amidst this quest for peace, the words of Isaiah 26:3 stand as a guiding light, offering profound wisdom and hope: "You will keep him in perfect peace, Whose mind is stayed on You, Because he trusts in You." These words hold a promise, a pathway to experiencing perfect peace in the midst of life's storms.

COMFORT

1PETER 5:7

Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares ...
- It's a promise that the mighty God will receive our worries, and care about them. He will carry them for us. He is trustworthy to handle them in the way that is best. Peter's words are a command. It is not God's will for His children to continue to live under those burdens.

2CORINTHIANS 1:3-4 2

Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, 4 who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we ..

-Remind us that we have a God who gives comfort in affliction. He is the father of mercies and the God of all comfort. That's his name. Our God is the God of all comfort

CORINTHIANS 12:9

But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my.

- That means allowing Christ to be strong in places we are weak, and not to resent Him for allowing us to experience that weakness.

2 NEPHI 31:20

Wherefore, ye must press forward with a steadfastness in Christ, having a perfect brightness of hope, and a love of God and of all men. Wherefore, if ye shall press forward, feasting upon the word of Christ, and endure to the end, behold, thus saith the Father: Ye shall have eternal life.

GUIDANCE

PROVERBS 3:5-6

Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.

JOHN 16:13

When the Spirit of truth comes, he will guide you into all the truth, for he will not speak on his own authority, but whatever he hears he will speak, and he will declare to you the things that are to come.

EXODUS 23:20

Behold, I send an Angel before you to keep you in the way and to bring you into the place which I have prepared.

ISAIAH 58:11

The LORD will guide you always; he will satisfy your needs in a sun-scorched land and will strengthen your frame. You will be like a well-watered garden, like a spring whose waters never fail.

REWARD

1CORINTHIANS 15:58 2

Therefore, my beloved brothers, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that in the Lord your labor is not in vain.

- he is calling the Corinthians to participate in this ministry, to give themselves also to the work given by the Lord of serving and building his church.

2 CORINTHIANS 5:10

For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, so that each of us may receive what is due us for the things done while in the body,

- Cheerfully pleasing God is the main thing, and that's what we aim to do, regardless of our conditions. Sooner or later we'll all have to face God, regardless of our conditions. We will appear before Christ and take what's coming to us as a result of our actions, either good or bad.

MATTHEW 25:21

His master replied, 'Well done, good and faithful servant! You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things. Come.

ALMA 41:14

Therefore, my son, see that you are merciful unto your brethren; deal justly, judge righteously, and do good continually; and if ye do all these things then shall ye receive your reward; yea, ye shall have mercy restored unto you again; ye shall have justice restored unto you again; ye shall have a righteous judgment restored unto you again; and ye shall have good rewarded unto you again

- A great description of how we want to live our lives as followers of Jesus, as servants of God. “Well done, good and faithful servant.” This is what we live to hear, our Master Jesus say. We want to be faithful with the goodness, and grace, talents, resources, time, everything that he has entrusted to us.

God Always Hear You!

1 JOHN 5:14-15

This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us. And if we know that he hears us—whatever we ask—we know that we have what we asked of him.

God always listens to our prayers and treasures them because of His love for us. He hears every aspect—our profound cries and the desires of our heart. Since He desires the best for us, He will grant what aligns with His will. Just keep the faith!

Doctrine and Covenants

The Doctrine and Covenants is a collection of revelations received by Joseph Smith, the founder of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS Church). While it contains teachings on various principles, it may not explicitly cover every specific value that i will mentioned. However, Its only on my personal matters to share and provide some relevant verses that align with these common values and principles based on the Doctrine and covenant:

  1. Honesty: Being truthful and transparent in all interactions.

    • Doctrine and Covenants 42:20: "And now, behold, I speak unto the church. Thou shalt not steal; neither commit adultery, nor kill, nor do anything like unto it."

  2. Integrity: Acting with consistency and maintaining moral principles.

    • Doctrine and Covenants 101:78: "That every man may act in doctrine and principle pertaining to futurity, according to the moral agency which I have given unto him, that every man may be accountable for his own sins in the day of judgment."

  3. Respect: Treating others with consideration and recognizing their worth.

    • Doctrine and Covenants 88:124: "Cease to be idle; cease to be unclean; cease to find fault one with another; cease to sleep longer than is needful; retire to thy bed early, that ye may not be weary; arise early, that your bodies and your minds may be invigorated."

  4. Responsibility: Taking accountability for one's actions and their consequences.

    • Doctrine and Covenants 58:26-28: "For behold, it is not meet that I should command in all things; for he that is compelled in all things, the same is a slothful and not a wise servant; wherefore he receiveth no reward. Verily I say, men should be anxiously engaged in a good cause, and do many things of their own free will, and bring to pass much righteousness."

  5. Compassion: Showing kindness and empathy towards others.

    • Doctrine and Covenants 42:29: "If thou lovest me thou shalt serve me and keep all my commandments."

  6. Fairness: Acting justly and equitably in all situations.

    • Doctrine and Covenants 64:10: "I, the Lord, will forgive whom I will forgive, but of you it is required to forgive all men."

  7. Courage: Facing challenges and difficulties with bravery and determination.

    • Doctrine and Covenants 58:26-27: "For behold, it is not meet that I should command in all things; for he that is compelled in all things, the same is a slothful and not a wise servant; wherefore he receiveth no reward. Verily I say, men should be anxiously engaged in a good cause, and do many things of their own free will, and bring to pass much righteousness."

  8. Generosity: Sharing resources and helping those in need.

    • Doctrine and Covenants 42:31: "Thou shalt not steal; neither commit adultery, nor kill, nor do anything like unto it."

  9. Forgiveness: Letting go of resentment and granting pardon.

    • Doctrine and Covenants 64:9: "Wherefore, I say unto you, that ye ought to forgive one another; for he that forgiveth not his brother his trespasses standeth condemned before the Lord; for there remaineth in him the greater sin."

  10. Gratitude: Appreciating and expressing thanks for what one has.

  11. Doctrine and Covenants 59:7: "Thou shalt thank the Lord thy God in all things."

  12. Tolerance: Accepting differences and respecting diverse perspectives. Doctrine and Covenants 38:24: "And let every man esteem his brother as himself, and practise virtue and holiness before me."

  13. Empathy: Understanding and sharing the feelings of others. Doctrine and Covenants 64:9: "Wherefore, I say unto you, that ye ought to forgive one another; for he that forgiveth not his brother his trespasses standeth condemned before the Lord; for there remaineth in him the greater sin."

  14. Patience: Enduring difficulties with calmness and perseverance. Doctrine and Covenants 101:38: "And seek the face of the Lord always, that in patience ye may possess your souls, and ye shall have eternal life."

  15. Humility: Acknowledging one's strengths and weaknesses without arrogance. Doctrine and Covenants 112:10: "Be thou humble; and the Lord thy God shall lead thee by the hand, and give thee answer to thy prayers."

  16. Sustainability: Acting in ways that promote the well-being of future generations and the environment. While the Doctrine and Covenants may not explicitly address sustainability, the principles of stewardship over the earth and gratitude for God's creations are found throughout. You may refer to broader LDS teachings and environmental stewardship principles for guidance on sustainability.

WHILE THERE IS POSITIVE WE SHOULD KNOW AS WELL SOME NEGATIVE.

The Doctrine and Covenants contains teachings and revelations important to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS Church), it may not explicitly address each of the mentioned sins in the manner I've known. However, some general principles and commandments related to ethical behavior and conduct can be found. Here are a few references with brief descriptions:

Lying: Deliberately providing false information.

Doctrine and Covenants 42:27: "Thou shalt not speak evil of thy neighbor, nor do him any harm."

Stealing: Taking someone else's property without permission.

Doctrine and Covenants 42:20: "Thou shalt not steal; neither commit adultery, nor kill, nor do anything like unto it."

Murder: Unlawfully causing the death of another person.

Doctrine and Covenants 42:18: "And now, behold, I speak unto the church. Thou shalt not kill; and he that kills shall not have forgiveness in this world, nor in the world to come."

Adultery: Engaging in sexual relations outside of marriage.

Doctrine and Covenants 42:24: "Thou shalt not commit adultery; and he that committeth adultery, and repenteth not, shall be cast out."

Coveting: Excessively desiring or envying what belongs to others.

Doctrine and Covenants 19:26: "For the natural man is an enemy to God, and has been from the fall of Adam, and will be, forever and ever, unless he yields to the enticings of the Holy Spirit, and putteth off the natural man and becometh a saint through the atonement of Christ the Lord."

Blasphemy: Disrespectful or irreverent speech or actions towards a sacred entity.

Doctrine and Covenants 63:61-62: "Wherefore, let all men beware how they take my name in their lips—For behold, verily I say, that many there be who are under this condemnation, who use the name of the Lord, and use it in vain, having not authority."

Sloth: Laziness or neglecting one's responsibilities.

Doctrine and Covenants 88:124: "Cease to be idle; cease to be unclean; cease to find fault one with another; cease to sleep longer than is needful; retire to thy bed early, that ye may not be weary; arise early, that your bodies and your minds may be invigorated."

Greed: Excessive desire for wealth or material possessions.

Doctrine and Covenants 19:35: "Wherefore, I revoke the commandment which was given unto my servants Thomas B. Marsh and Ezra Thayre, and give a new commandment unto my servant Joseph Smith, Jun., and unto my servant Martin Harris, that they shall not covet."

Wrath: Uncontrolled anger or hostility.

Doctrine and Covenants 1:27: "Behold, I am God and have spoken it; these commandments are of me, and were given unto my servants in their weakness, after the manner of their language, that they might come to understanding."

Envy: Jealousy and resentment towards others' success or possessions.

Doctrine and Covenants 67:10: "And again, verily I say unto you that it is your privilege, and a promise I give unto you that have been ordained unto this ministry, that inasmuch as you strip yourselves from jealousies and fears, and humble yourselves before me, for ye are not sufficiently humble, the veil shall be rent and you shall see me and know that I am—not with the carnal neither natural mind, but with the spiritual."

Pride: Excessive self-importance or arrogance. Doctrine and Covenants 38:39: "And if ye seek the riches which it is the will of the Father to give unto you, ye shall be the richest of all people, for ye shall have the riches of eternity; and it must needs be that the riches of the earth are mine to give; but beware of pride, lest ye become as the Nephites of old."
Gluttony: Overindulgence in food or drink. Doctrine and Covenants 89:12-13: "Yea, flesh also of beasts and of the fowls of the air, I, the Lord, have ordained for the use of man with thanksgiving; nevertheless, they are to be used sparingly; And it is pleasing unto me that they should not be used, only in times of winter, or of cold, or famine."
Lust: Intense or inappropriate sexual desires. Doctrine and Covenants 42:22: "Thou shalt love thy wife with all thy heart, and shalt cleave unto her and none else."
Cheating: Violating rules or agreements for personal gain. Doctrine and Covenants 19:31: "And of tenets thou shalt not talk, but thou shalt declare repentance and faith on the Savior, and remission of sins by baptism, and by fire, yea, even the Holy Ghost."
Gossiping: Spreading rumors or discussing others' private matters in a harmful way. Doctrine and Covenants 42:27: "Thou shalt not speak evil of thy neighbor, nor do him any harm."

Please note that The Doctrine and Covenants is a complex document with various sections, descriptions provided are concise and may not comprehensively cover the nuances of each topic and interpretations of these verses may vary. It's always advisable to seek guidance from LDS Church leaders for a comprehensive understanding of these principles in the context of Mormon teachings. GOD'S GLORIOUS BEST LIES AHEAD of YOU!

GOD'S GLORIOUS BEST's Ahead of YOU!

Jeremiah 29:11

For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.

  • "Do not let your yesterday be wiser than your today."
  • "Our new year will never be the same as the old when our hearts and minds are renewed in the Word."

Hebrews 10:23

Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for he who promised is faithful.

  • "So we must continue to expect those things. We must tell other people that we trust God. We should not stop doing that."

I. God has DECIDED your GOOD SUCCESS.

Joshua 1:8

Keep this Book of the Law always on your lips; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will.

"Your success has been defined by God, so don't let your success be redefined by others."

"God has never destined anybody to live a mediocre life."

Proverbs 3:5-6

Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.

Helaman 3:27 (Book of Mormon):

"Thus we may see that the Lord is merciful unto all who will, in the sincerity of their hearts, call upon his holy name."

II. God has DESIGNED your GREAT WELFARE.

  • The beautiful thing about God is that He not only knows exactly who you are right now, but also who you can become.
  • We just to be willing to seek His will for our life, then develop our potential, and start walking out His plan. Abundant life is God's phrase for the "GOOD LIFE."
  • God wants us to live a life filled with GREAT ABUNDANCE.
  • The devil is the thief, the killer, and the destroyer. God is the blesser, the giver, and the abundant one.

Practice these simplest morality and everything will be fine in GOD's Guidance.

Love and Compassion: The Bible emphasizes love and compassion as central virtues. The commandment to love one's neighbor as oneself (Matthew 22:39) underscores the importance of empathy and kindness toward others.

Justice and Righteousness: Many biblical verses advocate for justice and righteousness. Proverbs 21:3 states, "To do what is right and just is more acceptable to the Lord than sacrifice." This suggests that ethical conduct and fairness are crucial for the well-being of individuals and society.

Caring for the Vulnerable: The Bible often speaks about the responsibility to care for the marginalized and vulnerable members of society. This includes orphans, widows, and strangers (Deuteronomy 10:18; James 1:27).

Humility and Servanthood: The Bible teaches the value of humility and serving others. Jesus, in particular, set an example of servant leadership, as seen in passages like Mark 10:45, where he says, "For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many."

Forgiveness: Forgiveness is a recurring theme in the Bible. Jesus emphasized forgiveness in the Lord's Prayer (Matthew 6:9-15), and numerous parables and teachings underscore the importance of forgiveness for personal and communal well-being.

Community and Fellowship: The Bible encourages believers to come together in fellowship and community. Hebrews 10:24-25, for example, urges believers to "consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing."

  • "Don't get God and the devil mixed-up. They are totally different with opposite motives concerning your welfare. God is for you. The devil is against you "
  • "However, because GOD IS FOR YOU, the devil can't stand against you."

2 Nephi 26:33 (Book of Mormon):

"For none of these iniquities come of the Lord; for he doeth that which is good among the children of men; and he doeth nothing save it be plain unto the children of men; and he inviteth them all to come unto him and partake of his goodness; and he denieth none that come unto him, black and white, bond and free, male and female; and he remembereth the heathen; and all are alike unto God, both Jew and Gentile."

Mosiah 2:41 (Book of Mormon):

"And moreover, I would desire that ye should consider on the blessed and happy state of those that keep the commandments of God. For behold, they are blessed in all things, both temporal and spiritual; and if they hold out faithful to the end they are received into heaven, that thereby they may dwell with God in a state of never-ending happiness. O remember, remember that these things are true; for the Lord God hath spoken it."

Alma 41:10 (Book of Mormon):

"Do not suppose, because it has been spoken concerning restoration, that ye shall be restored from sin to happiness. Behold, I say unto you, wickedness never was happiness."

3 Nephi 11:29 (Book of Mormon):

"For verily, verily, I say unto you, he that hath the spirit of contention is not of me, but is of the devil, who is the father of contention, and he stirreth up the hearts of men to contend with anger, one with another."

III  God has DETERMINED your GLORIOUS FUTURE.

  • The future of God's children is always great and glorious. The best is always yet to come. We have a hope that's not uncertain but s glorious hope that's grounded in the reality of Christ Jesus!

Proverbs 23:17-18

Do not let your heart envy sinners, but always be zealous for the fear of the LORD. There is surely a future hope for you, and your hope will not be cut off.

  • Move on to become the person the creator designed you to be. Learn to press on, forgetting your past, and pursuing with God's grace what is ahead. Step into the new season with greater joy, greater faith, and greater vision.

Proverbs 27:5-6

Better is open rebuke than hidden love. Wounds from a friend can be trusted, but an enemy multiplies kisses.

  • If a friend genuinely loves a person, he will not refuse to correct him. Genuine love, paired with humility, compels a person to correct his friend when necessary. A "love" which stays hidden because it lacks the courage to call out sin or danger is weak.

Philippians 3:13-14

Brothers and sisters, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what.

  • We should not let the weight of our past failures or regrets hold us back from moving forward. We should not dwell on our past mistakes or allow them to define us. Instead, we should acknowledge them, learn from them, and use them as motivation to do better in the future.

Alma 26:16 (Book of Mormon):

"Therefore, let us glory, yea, we will glory in the Lord; yea, we will rejoice, for our joy is full; yea, we will praise our God forever. Behold, who can glory too much in the Lord? Yea, who can say too much of his great power, and of his mercy, and of his long-suffering towards the children of men? Behold, I say unto you, I cannot say the smallest part which I feel."

2 Nephi 9:41 (Book of Mormon):

"O then, my beloved brethren, come unto the Lord, the Holy One. Remember that his paths are righteous. Behold, the way for man is narrow, but it lieth in a straight course before him, and the keeper of the gate is the Holy One of Israel; and he employeth no servant there; and there is none other way save it be by the gate; for he cannot be deceived, for the Lord God is his name."

WINTER PRUNING

My Winter Conversations with the Garden: Pruning in January and February When the garden falls silent in winter, many people think nothing ...
